In order to create public awareness about biodiversity, environment and wildlife, the department has published/prepared the following booklets:
i) Field Guide to the Ducks, Geese & Swans of Pakistan.
ii) Edible Fishes of Pakistan.
iii) Wild Ungulates of Pakistan.
iv) Wild Carnivores of Pakistan.
v) Cranes of Pakistan.
vi) Fuana of exhibit section of zoological mueseum.
vii) Brochure and chart.

  • The results of the study jointly undertaken by the Sindh Wildlife Department, Zoological Survey Department, University of Karachi & the University of Melbourne have been published in the form of a report entitled "Fauna of Kirthar National Park".
  • A book entitled, "Raptors of Pakistan" is ready for publication. Further, a book on ‘Poisonous Snakes of Pakistan’ has been compiled for publication.
  • A book entitled "A contribution to the Herpetology of Pakistan" is being published by the University of Florida in collaboration with US Fish & Wildlife Service and Zoological Survey Department.
  • On the basis of the information gathered so far regarding the distribution, status and ecology of important species of wildlife, the wildlife distribution maps of Pakistan as well as Punjab, Sindh, NWFP, Balochistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Northern Areas have been published, to create public awareness.
